UniMaps is the part time work of many people that enjoy history and maps.. Sometimes directed by Graeme Rendle and assisted by Beauregarde Cavendish, Marty Hallmann, Anna-Mieke Anderson, Xaanadu Moran and many other neat people that have contributed their time, advice and expertise. We also thank all at MiaDonna & Co. and The Greener Diamond LLC for their great advice and data on current African conflicts. Our translaters from time to time are; Anna Rzaczynska (Russian and Polish), Claudia Blank (Portuguese), Karla Alvarez (Spanish), Gert Schidor (German), Marie-Dominque Lennan (French), Nick Tarcan (Romanian), Emilio Diaz (Portuguese and Spanish), and Pasquale Iorizzo (Italian). We have specialised in the exploration of Africa and the colonial era of Africa, and the domination of France and England of the Middle East during the same era. We hope these maps and commentaries provide you with a greater undertanding of the political and geographical areas shown. In 2007, we added a new section, "World Maps" in response to many reader requests. We hope these are informative. Special thanks go to my son Christiaan Rendle, extreme sportsman, raconteur, and lover of all things cartographic. He has pulled this whole show together. This site would not be complete without the many valuable contributions made by the following great people; Andy Chilton, Anna Smok, Faceache Tuck, Franc Violi, Gail McDonnell, Mandy Hampton, Neil Butler, Nick Tarcan, Jonathan King, Marie-Dominique Lennan, Pedro Wilkins, Sagar Shah, Scott Schur, Trevair Anderson and Zac & Jenny Tavitian. Many thanks to you all. Graeme Rendle. We welcome any comments, suggestions and contributions from everyone. Many of the changes on this website are a result of feedback from you, and we appreciate the time taken to contact us. If you notice any factual, literal or other inadvertant errors, or any screwups or omissions, we welcome your feedback.
