entered the Canadian Confederation as a province in 1905. The
sheild dates from 1907 and was placed on a blue feild to make the flag of Alberta
in 1967. | |

entered the Canadian Confederation
as a province in 1871. This
flag, adopted in 1960, is an amorial banner of the arms, granted in 1906. The
sun placed over the heraldic waters represents the province's position on the

flag, adopted in 1966, is intended to recall and preserve the old Canadian Red

flag shows a inuksuk (stone monument) and Niqirtsuituq (the North
